How RoundZero works
The core app stays usable without AI. Here is what is free now and what is optional.
Will I have to pay to use the app?
No. The core RoundZero app is free to use. AI features and external chat integrations are optional paid extras.
Can I create a campaign?
Yes. The free plan lets you create campaigns as a DM.
How many campaigns can I join as a player?
You can join campaigns as a player on the free plan.
Do I need AI to use RoundZero?
No. You can use the core app without AI or AI credits. AI is for groups and players who want optional shortcuts or want to experiment with an AI DM.
What can AI credits be used for?
AI credits are intended for features such as the AI sheet, AI DM, and extra automation. They are only used when you choose an AI feature.
What will the paid plan include?
The paid plan is expected to include 100 to 200 AI credits and access to optional AI features. Discord, Telegram, and WhatsApp integrations are also planned as paid extras. Final pricing is still being defined.
Can I buy more AI credits?
Separate credit top-ups are planned for people who use more AI than their plan includes.
What paid content is planned for the future?
Future paid content may include map packs, images, tokens, banners, and combat maps with predefined walls.
Do you only support D&D?
For now, yes. The VTT can already be used generically with manual HP edits and emoji conditions, but automated rolls and status effects are still D&D-specific. Want another system? Join our Discord and tell us what you want to see. Pathfinder, Tormenta 20, and Vampire: The Masquerade are planned, using available SRD content.
